ICE cars have already lost it for me now the sounds gone the bhp down in most cases and the weights up, so either buy older or buy a hybrid imo.
Seem odd the 992 delayed hybrids when it's designed for it from the off.
we have 2/3 years of dull cars now from all manufacture while we wait for good hybrid sport cars to arrive.

MINI Countryman Plug-in Hybrid looks a far better car than the EV mini, but again why did they launch it in a car people don't buy.
I would be all over a mini JCW Plug-in Hybrid.
Electric for headlines, hybrids are for real.

It's fun, on my 75th car, bought 2 this year.And also when I offer opinions on cars they are real world as I have most likely owned it :-)
it's not easy to find an exciting car to drive over just ok or even great cars.
My current 4 car line up all are very exciting cars really, and all very driver focused. every one is an event and fun.
I think we are in bad times, I look forward to hybrids with Kers now, current ICE are a bit dull, the hype over the new GT4 seems odd to me.
imo the 992 could have been class leading, one can only think they are not happy with what's out there atm regarding batterys/chargers etc.

Don't be so sure! My company is currently working with several major vehicle manufacturers on driverless technology. Our current prediction is full driverless (i.e. you tell it where to go and then sit in the back watching pornhub) by 2028. I'll take a £100 bet with you.they work on level 5 for a laugh to get to lower levels and we will get level 4 in real life. "fully autonomous in controlled areas"
even so 2028 is a long way off, but by bet stands that it will stop at level 4.
level 5 is impossible in my lifetime imo.

No, it'll never work. Have you ever known a piece of tech, a computer say, crash? And even without the crashing, cars will be crashing into each other, and the scenery, with gay abandon. So many (more) will be killed the whole thing will be abandoned.Not just the tech though, the scary factor of getting inside a "rollercoaster" car, but with no rails to run on, will give many heart failure.
As has been said, full electric cannot work. Hybrids offer little in the way of saving energy and resources.

That's true, and with punitive charges for driving in them a hybrid makes sense for that reason. What happened to the hydrogen fuel cell? That's surely where the money should be going. No shortage of hydrogen.
