Looking under the Skuperb 3.6 and I'm not sure where's best to place axle stands so I can remove the wheels for cleaning. I've found two possible locations I think:

or

Not sure what the second photo actually is?

That is exactly what the OP is asking for.

Either of those will do. The first is a major suspension anchoring point so very strong and the second is a jacking point.

Thanks for the replies, I know which way to go now. The manual just shows the jacking points on the sill for the supplied scissor lift, non of them are in particularly good shape probably due to poor use of trolley jacks. I want a decent point to jack and use axle stands.

Going for somewhere where suspension arms are attached is usually a good bet.

On our Octavia I always use that aluminium lump where the suspension arm attaches to the subframe. It's a good shape for a cup-type axle stand not to slip off.

No he isn't
The title clearly says axle stand not scissor Jack location

That being said ive allways used where the wishbone mount's to the subframe on the front of the car and the rear axle mount the the car or under the spring pan on the rear of my cars

The scissor jack location is always useful, but I'd use a bit of wood or carpet between the sill and either jack/stand to protect the sill paint/stonechip etc.

Yep, wondering where to place axle stands, I want to take the wheels off to wax them, I also want to have a look at how accessible the oil filter is. The area on cill on the offside is particularly squashed. I usually use a rubber puck on the sills when jacking, think I might use the the location in the second photo for jacking and place the axle stands on the suspension anchoring point.

Suspension mounting points or subframe to bodyshell mounting points are usually a reasonable choice.
