Some wonderful specimen of a human decided to cosy up to my car today (Jag driver). Looks like the only damage is to the rear parking sensor. Not home yet but wife sent pictures (attached). Assuming it doesn’t work, what’s the damage to replace?

No excuse for this but the Jag XF parking sensors are a pain, driving forwards the fronts are only activated along with the rears when the car has been in reverse within the last few seconds, so driving forwards into a parking spot you have to remember to manually switch them on using the button, which this clot obviously didnt!!

Hopefully not an expensive fix for you.

Unless your wife reversed into the Jag, I would get his insurance details and use the photo as evidence.

Maybe include the carbon rear valence too, that should liven up his insurance company.

Pretty sure the AM ones are the same.
If it's just the sensor https://www.astonmartinbits.com/models/5-V8-Vantag... less than 30.

Those rear parking sensors are prone to corrosion. I recently had to repaint mine on a 2014 car.

Just got home. Found the culprit car parked further up the road outside the offenders house. Managed to speak to the daughter and turns out it was her mother. Hopefully she will respond
