My daughter's dog, we had one when she was a little girl and despite Holly biting her on occasions she loved her to bits and vowed to have her own when she bought her own house - at the age of 23 she now has degree, house, job and Basil!

He's a cracking little chap, completely bonkers!

He's a beauty. I've got 2, one black, one Wheaten. Superb dogs, full of personality and normally very loud!

Just had them both trimmed for the summer, I'll try and get a picture later!

Cracking dogs. Always remind me of my grandad, had the same dog as a kid. Would never leave his side until I visited. He wouldn't see the dog again until i went home. Apparently she would sit at the door for a week waiting for me after. Cracking dog. Still miss her 25 years on.

A lovely photo. I was brought up with one of those little fellas. He died when I was 11 or 12 years old. Takes me right back. He would brush his feet one by one on the doormat when he came in when it was raining. Attempts to encourage him to do the same for the benefit of guests on a dry day were futile.

Also capable of room clearing farts as he got older. We always knew it was coming when he would shift from his normal place in front of the fire to the living room door, and sit there with his doleful big brown eyes looking guilty.

According to the news today, Scottie registrations are up 92% in 2020 following a period of decline when it was feared the breed would die out.

Basil, featured at the top this thread, has turned out to be real character and I'd forgotten just what intelligent dogs they are.

Wonderful!! - and a Wheaten as well.

Would love another one but a Welsh and a Lakeland are presently taking up room at home.

Good looking doggie, see loads of them out and about so they're definitely more popular than before
