Just sold my 996, now looking for a 993 S or C4S ... any offers please? ... OR, a targa ... OR an early 996 C4. Dont ask why i may go back to 996 ... may be it is the comfort aspect (I will use the car daily so will cover probably 15-20k per year easy).

Questions:
1. 993 C2S or C4S?
2. 993 C4 or 994 C4?
3. 993 targa?
4. how about an Aston Martin V8?!
5. Colours?? what's your views on speed yellow or Arena red?

I have driven 996 C2, 993 C4S, 993 Turbo ... and i feel that I have information overload. 993 handle better, 996 is more comfortable; 993 sounds better but can be a handfull on english country roads (I am not English ... I am French but living here).

Advice, advice, advice.

Hmmm, a speed yellow 993 C4S sounds rather nice...

(says the chap who's had three 993's - a C4S, a C2, and now a TT).

You mentioned the TT, but it sounds like you are after a naturally aspirated car. If that's the case, much better off with the C4S than the C2S IMHO.

Have you searched the threads for 993 C4S?

Yes I have... biggest problem is that I am taking the car back to South Africa so I need something which is going to be very reliable as the local bills could be hugely expensive.

Might end up with 993 4S (again ...) or a low mileage 996. Damn damn damn...

If you want reliability, stick with a naturally aspirated 993. If you're buying it here, make sure it's had the wiring loom done (phone Porsche Cars GB and quote them the chassis number and they'll give you the low down on any outstanding recalls).

Feel free to bounce any ideas of us here on the forum, we're all opinionated and happy to admit it!
