F01 730d Steering Clicking

The steering has started making a clicking noise on my 2013 LCI 730d. Car has done 68k and at low speeds with music turned down I can hear a click when I turn the wheel. It sounds like it’s coming from the column inside the car.

Any ideas?

My thoughts would be to look at the top mounts.

Does it have active steering though? What about having a simple look over it all to see if there are any leaks or if there are any stones trapped anywhere too etc?

I'd go for the clock spring - they're known to go bad occasionally. Any steering angle errors or any of the steering wheel buttons not working?
