992 Oil Pressure
Discussion
Same sort of thing ....1.4/1.5 bar, idle.
1.9- 2.2 bar, normal driving. More on heavy load but I don't tend to look at oil pressure when gunning it .
running for about 3 hours on motor way ~70mph ...107C .....2.0 bar when stable on the cruise and not changing speed
Mine has now got ~2500 miles, last 2K added in quick holiday in Scotland . Engine and gearbox definitely feels better now .

Hi, the oil pressure on 992 is managed to specific levels it will seem low but all the internal pumps are designed to lubricate at a lower pressure when the engine is not loaded. This reduces emissions due to engine power and keeps Porsche under EU6 regulations. There is nothing wrong with your engine and getting the pressure over 3-4 Bar even when at full power takes some doing. It’s all good it’s designed to have a managed pressure system 👍
