Wondering if anyone can help.

When declaring personal pension contributions on self assessment tax return do you have to put any info in the additional info section 19?

As in sipp account numbers etc so they can cross reference the claim to an actual account?

Had a google and can’t find any info.

Ok no worries just wasn’t sure. I suppose they will have information from the sipp provider that claimed the basic rate tax on my behalf.

Thew Self Assessment tax return is, in many ways, a minimal disclosure form. In other words, by completing the form, you are being "barely compliant". On that basis, most tax returns submitted to HMRC are usually "non-compliant" in that full disclosure is not being done. HMRC provides "blank space boxes" to enable a taxpayer to provide the additional disclosure the law actually requires.

It is because of this deficiency (and many others) that HMRC is trying to abolish self assessment.
