Questions concerning 718 & 981.
Discussion
Hey guys, how you doing? I'm an italian guy and I registered in the forum to ask some questions about 718 Cayman base model, 2.0, and 981 base model, 2.7 275 HP.
1) I'd like to buy a Cayman 718 but I'm a big fan of engine sounds. I heard that the 718 doesn't sound good at all, it is true? What does it mean that 718 doesn't sound good? The dB level are the same for both cars (981 718)?
2) There is a lot of difference between the sound of the 981 and the 981S with a PSE? Regardless of the cars, 718 or 981, I will buy one of it with the PSE.
3) 981 0-100 is 5,7 seconds. Does this make the car less exciting? I have heard many people complain about that.
4) I heard that 718 sounds better than 718S. How is possible that a 2.0 sounds better than a 2.5?
Thank you guys.

The 718 is a four cylinder turbo engine and the 981 a six cylinder naturally aspirated engine. The sound and feel very different, you need to test drive both to see which you personally prefer.
I found the 2.0 in the 718 to be a little smoother than the 2.5 in the 718S and slightly less rough sounding.
