Guys,

As per my previous post, I am on the market for a late 993 C4S.
I am going to view one tomorrow and would like opinions please.

The car is a 1997(R) RHD, UK car, with full documented PSH, all bills, receipts, MOT's etc.
2 owners, 67K, last service 65K, clutch at 50K,brakes all replaced recently, new P-Zero's, no accident damage, Air Con working, basically it seems to be sorted, although I have yet to view in person.

Questions ??

Is the mettalic black with full black leather one of the desirable colour schemes thinking of later re-sale.
I like black but have put more emphasis on the right history and car rather than colour.

Anything else I should be worried about ?

This is from a dealer and although the asking price is £39,990, I will not go one penny above £35K, which he will accept subject to viewing. It had a PPI check done at JCT last service which I will get a copy of, but may still have another done for myself.

Appreciate any feedback and comments that may help.

Thanks

Good colour combo I would have thought - though my C4S is yellow so what do I know.

Seems a good price and a lovely sounding car

sounds very nice. how'd you manage more than 10% off the asking price - i should get some lessons. Is it normal to get this much off?

At 35k sounds like a bargain, at a fiver short of 40k it's a rip off!

Let us know the moment you decide!!!

With a black on black car...make sure the a/c is definitely in good working order.

Verysideways, why are you so excited ???

I have been assured that the Air Con is working perfectly, but again living in Scotland I should probably pay more attention to the heater working properly ...

Thanks for the comments guys

At 35K it sounds like a good deal.

I personally like black, but it certainly takes some looking after. Then again I went for arena red which always gets slated in the press. But I don't think I'm alone in liking it.

Definitely get an inspection done, irrespective of when it had the last one done. Its a lot of money not to. A lot can happen in a very small amount of miles...

....Back from the JR so in the Golf, probably one of several thousand passed in that day so I unless I had swerved violently infront of you flashing my lights and gurning out of the window (which I didn't) you wouldn't have noticed me.

Come the summer I'll have me a 993 so then I will flash away like a hooner.

That yellow is such a great colour, really pale and almost like custard...okay, probably not the best descriptor but really very nice.

After a trip down to the coast today all the cars that grabbed my attention were lime green elise, yellow this, red that....I'm becoming a fan of bright colours....most unlike me.
