997.2 Carrera - Brake Disc/Pad Recommendation
Discussion
Morning.
Can anybody offer some brake disc/pad recommendation?:
2009 997.2 Carrera
Goodridge hoses & Endless fluid
19" Sport Design wheels / non-modified car
'Fast' road driving - no track work
The brake setup has been a two stage process - hoses & fluid last year, discs & pads this year.
Although the Porsche OEM has, surprisingly, been good, it's always worth exploring alternatives.
Design 911
Pads - OEM £50 or EBC Yellow £96
Disc - OEM(?) £110 or Brembo £123
Also, should the pad wear sensor be replaced during this work? £33
Thank you for any assistance, all gratefully received.

I'm interested in this too; have a 2010 997.2 4S - have just let warranty lapse, as OPC wanted £1098 to replace front discs/pads (plus some othe minor stuff at massive cost) before they would extend warranty.
Local specialist initially recommended Brembo discs & pads for £494+VAT but has conceded I might be better keeping OEM disc & pads if I want to get warranty put back on

Not a 997 but I replaced my 996 C2 OEM brakes with Brembo discs all round with Brembo sport pads. I run SRF fluid. They've been good. Slightly better feel than OEM and slightly better at withstanding fade when I track it. Not transformative but better. Not as good my GT3 with Cup brakes but you get what you pay for.
Yes, replace the sensor as well. These are fairly cheap.

very hard as every one like a pad and every one likes a price point.
rep disks and ebc pads upto these and the 30 options inbetween.

I would go gyro disks and 2500 pads but that would be £2k.
