Two Alfas have come up on my radar, a 2016 Giulietta QV and a 2017 petrol Giulia. Running costs are very similar and from road tests both are a pretty good driving car. However a test drive on either would involve a 100 mile drive(in opposite directions 
) so before trying them, I would like to get some views. The Giulietta has the TCT box, but the Giulia seems to have a conventional autobox? I no longer need a large estate, but the five seats of both would be useful.
Logic would say keep the current car and run it into the ground, but having missed out on the mid-life crisis car (unless I become the oldest person in the world :0 ), I don't want to miss whatever boat comes along next.

If you have to even ask that question you have obviously never driven either. The Giulia is a far more modern car and just better in absolutely every way possible. They are not really comparable though. Its like comparing a Golf to a Passat or Focus to a Mondeo and asking which is best.
