I swear a twin propped flying boat just went over my house and around Arthur's seat in Edinburgh. Any ideas?

Edit I'm not going insane - found it , a Catalina no less- very cool

My guess would be Plane Sailing's Catalina. they do a lot of airshows and pleasure flights. Did it look like this?

East Fortune airshow is tomorrow and it's due to display there so not surprised it's in the neighbourhood.

Ahhh, it must have been this I saw yesterday afternoon doing what seemed to be a very slow circle over the city, indeed out Fort Kinnaird / Arthurs Seat sort of direction...

It's a shame the weather was so poor today for the airshow; I was driving by East Fortune and stopped to watch the Typhoon display; it did a flypast, you could hear it but the cloud base was so low you couldn't see it and off it went. I think there was quite a few cancellations due to weather unfortunately.

Beautiful aircraft. My dad was copilot to John Cruickshank. He’d got his own command and parted ways before JC won his VC.
