£15-£20k with a bit of punch

Hi all,

I'm looking on behalf of a friend, basically he wants a car for around £15-£20k that will probably do around 5000 miles a year. He has family vehicle for all the long trips.

His requirements are something with a bit of punch, have 4 doors and thats it really.

I dont think mileage is much of an issue, he is keen on a 4 series grand coupe but there must be better options out there!

Any help is much appreciated

640D Gran Coupe's can be had for that budget. Much more car for the money than the 4 GC and plenty of room/go. They're a bit of a bargain IMHO although 5k miles a year may not suit diesel I suppose?
