Hi all,
Got the lights working, up/down and on/off. But!!!the main beam stays on all the time. Well I think so. I can see the diff in light when I move the stalk but the main blue light stays illuminated in the dash, any ideas anyone. They only go out when I pull the "diode" fuse out. This fuse is a normal blade fuse at the moment as I do not know where to get a diode thingy.
Could this be why the blue light does not go out?

Sounds like another puzzler!
I can sort you some diodes out if you get stuck; they're only pennies, I'm sure the company won't miss them

Glad to hear you're making progress... now if only I could get some of my jobs done...

Are both headlamp filaments illuminated? Or just the indicator bulb?

Some experimentation may well be required.

One or more relays might be stuck on, try rapping them with the handle of a screwdriver.

Then replace them one at a time with another (similar type and rating) relay checking each time to see whether it effects a change of state. If it does, there's your problem.

If not, it's time to start tracing the wiring. Identify the relevant wires (dipped and high) and apply voltage - check headlamp bulb operation (or use a buzzer fed from the three-pin plug). If you apply voltage to one wire and both filaments in one (or both) bulbs light up, then there is a 'crossed wire' somewhere.

Take it logically and eliminate the possibilities one-by-one (Sherlock Holmes stylee ).
