Apparently a 3.14 locksmith’s picnic has gone a bit awry. It’s yet another example of something that used to be a nice experience, ruined by idiots rolleyes.

How do you know they were travelers? (Honest q)

The story seems to be about a family who didn't like a member of their group dressing as a clown.

He said one witness "explained to staff that things kicked off when another passenger appeared dressed as a clown. This upset one of their party because they'd specifically booked a cruise with no fancy dress. It led to a violent confrontation.".
That's quite a specific ask or a travel agent.

Yes, a very odd ask, regardless of whether one likes fancy dress. Perhaps the people dressed as clowns were deliberately trying to wind the others up rolleyes

I'm sure there was a similar instance a while back on a big boat, and an esteemed and
much maligned cultural minority was held responsible.

I wonder who's fleecing old biddies out of their life savings when they are sailing the Adriatic ?

Christ! How awful does that look? When you see cruise liner marketing it doesn't show every square inch filled with drunk fat passengers dancing about the pool.

I've never been on a cruise and looking at that, would never want to try one! Benidorm on a boat.

It was a cruise to Norway though? That doesn’t sound like the kind of cruise a massive drunken brawl would happen on.

Funny articles above about how opening cruises up to a wider variety of passenger has ruined them.

Those ships hold thousands of people, it’s surprising more trouble doesn’t breaks out when they’re basically stuck in a massive floating bar.

Perhaps the bloke who was dressed as a clown was angry at being the butt of a classic practical joke?

It must vary from cruise to cruise and from cruise line to cruise line though.

Many of the p and o or Fred Olsen ones around the Caribbean seem to be full of nice well behaved people. Then you get the booze cruises from Miami full of young people which look more lively.

That cruise looked like club 18-30 or some Chanel 4 late night show about the worst resorts in Spain or wherever.

Well, aren't those Tui holidays being advertised in a similar fashion? Slim, good looking mum. When you turn up to wherever you booked, it's all fat middle aged biffers. And as for that Fast and Furious series, when I turned up to my first ever Japanese car meet, you can't believe how disappointed I was. wink

They should keel-haul the reprobates (and that's a big keel they've got there) - and they could probably sell tickets for the event.

There's a lot of bingo wings in that video biggrin. I haven't been on a cruse either, but I get the impression that everyone aboard had gathered into one spot for the party.
