What are people’s thought on buying an Infiniti with the impending withdrawal of the brand from the UK next year ?
I know it’s basically a Nissan so you’d like to think they would service but what about your local garage ? Would you think parts would be readily available for at least five years ?
There does look to be some bargains in the brand right now but the lack of information worries me for ongoing maintenance.

I've purchased 14 Infiniti's for various people this year (4 for family members) yes they're leaving Europe but the drivetrains are well known so an Indy will service them just fine.
The engines/drivetrain for both petrol & diesel are the same as those found in the Mercedes A/C/E Class/Renault Clio/Megane & obviously Nissan, so Indy servicing is not an issue.
THe hybrid drivetrain will need more specialist care (as does a Lexus) but with all Infiniti Centres becoming Nissan Premium Centres with the same techs working on the cars.
All warranties will be honored & were being extended (with a 3 year limit) up until the end of June thereafter they're offering a care package all of which will be honored by Nissan moving forward.
3 of my family have the Q50 S 3.5h which I've had no qualms in suggesting it's a very good package, properly quick with good economy considering it's a 3.5.

Yes the Infiniti are ad blue the same as the Mercedes models.
How many miles do you do a year?
To be fair the TXS is a very good shout but for 11k you can land some serious Infiniti in diesel form:

As you've already seen the M's are top tax which is about £250 more than the Mondeo depending on your mileage it may be worth the extra over the Mondeo, the interior is nicer too.

DPF's won't be a problem all Q50's are adblue so you shouldn't have issues.

Just checked 65 plate onwards at 5-10k a year I'd say that unless the bulk of your journeys are mainly longish drives then I'd say you want a petrol at which point the the newer shape Mondeo in Titanium spec is hard to beat:

Its nice but unsure about colour and wheels. It looks so much better on 18"'s or 19"'s. I'm waiting for a very late mk4.5 or early mk5 that looks right and has all the gear but will look out for petrol Q50's !!

There's is another Infiniti model you should look out for & that's the M Hybrid it comes with the same drivetrain as the Q50h so you're talking 360bhp with pretty much everything you'll ever need spec wise & £190 road tax:

I had a q50 for a couple of years. I really liked it as a commuting hack. Loved the fact you hardly saw any other ones, thought it looked good, seats (sports ones) were very comfy and it was just a nice place to be. Bose stereo was really rather good.
Not at all exciting though, but that's not why I bought it.
Edit to add I had the diesel which I would think twice about having again (I know contradicting myself) it really wasn't that economical day to day (low 40s on average if I recall) and the auto box dithered sometimes pulling away swiftly which was disconcerting. I would definitely consider the hybrid in the future though.
