I'm fighting to get my 92 Griff 400 back on the road after a long time off the road.

The ignition appears fine, however the injectors don't fire. I've checked the banks resistance to see if there is an obvious error and they both read 2.9 ohms? Everything I have read has mentioned around 4-5 ohms is correct and that rising resistance indicates a faulty injector.

Any pointers on why the resistance might be lower or pointers as to why none are firing?

Thanks

Any resistance check needs to be done with the injector unplugged otherwise you are measuring a bank of 4 at the same time plus the ECU electronics. I doubt very much its an injector fault- you need to look for 12 volts on one pin of the injectors as you turn on the ignition- it wont stay there, only as long as the fuel pump runs and no longer as the engine is not running. The ECU connects the -ve side of the injector to ground when it fires the injector, and it does it on each bank of 4 at the same time. Do you have any other readings from the ECU or is the fuel pump running as you crank the engine? I think all the injector trigger pulses start with the pulse from the negative side of the coil as the ignition amp triggers the spark, and you need the same trigger to make the fuel pump run.

The fuel pump primes OK, though I've not checked to see if it runs as the engine cranks.
I've checked the individual resistance of one bank of injectors and they are all 11.4 ohms - so I'm guessing they are OK, save any blockages, though all 8 would surprise me.
I'll check that 12v is getting to them next and then that the trigger is getting back to the ECU from the distributor.

Thanks

If you search for "noid lights" on ebay you will find lights that plug on top of the injector that show if they are getting a pulse. Not that expensive
