Where has Becks Vier gone?

Wow - that's dedication to a brand! Not worth grabbing something else similar?
I'm not a big beer/lager drinker but I do love Becks Vier because it's so light and fresh tasting and I was really fancying some for a get-together that a neighbour is having on Weds evening. In terms of "grabbing something similar" - what is there that's similar?MonkeyBusiness said:
It's a decent beer but I wouldn't spend 90 mins driving around for it
(It's stocked in Morrisons)
In my defence, I have an old E36 which I love to bits and it was a lovely evening for driving around

Should have thought to try Morrisons. Tried the ASDA and Sainsbury's in the same town but totally forgot that there's a Morrison's there too as I never usually go!

Why not just drink Becks?
I've never understood 'alcohol reduced by about 20%' beers, like Becks or Stella at 4%.
Drinking 'full fat' stuff isn't going to make a massive difference if you're only having a couple.
Aside from the tax reduction for lower alcohol, there is also something in human biology that makes drinking 4% much better from a hangover standpoint - I think (but may be wrong) that it is something about the amount of alcohol the body can process over a set period means that the 1% less ABV is significantly better from a time to be "sober" pov. That extra 1% is the bit that screws you over - assuming you're not necking 3 pints an hour over the course of the evening.I've never understood 'alcohol reduced by about 20%' beers, like Becks or Stella at 4%.

I'm not a massive larger drinker, so have not compared the 4% varieties to the stronger relatives of each type. Is there a big, noticeably difference in taste?
When working in central London and going out for drinks after work I think my choices of beer did really help the hangover (or lack of). I'd usually be on 3.5% to 4% beer, compare that to 5% or 5.5% larger some would drink and if you have say six pints, its like me having nine pints to match the alcohol volume.
I think we should go back to the traditional strength beers, they're too strong now so limits the time/number drunk.
