Er...
I've been under the dash for 30 minutes now and I can't find the nuts that hold the dash onto the chassis on the centre console. The ones at the end are no problem. Can anyone post a diagram, photo or other help for an obvious idiot. Thanks in advance, the heater cable has totally locked up and needs to be replaced.

Absolute Bd job I'm in the middle of doing it myself.
Email me if you get stuck and I will give you my number for assistance.

Hooray
Just got it off, dropping the steering column really helps.

Just done mine...

This is a bit of a pain of a job, mainly because you can't see what you're trying to do and you need the wrists of a contortionist to access some of the nuts! Also, the nyloc nuts that were used on my dash mean that you have to use the ratchet/spanner all the way. I'll definitely be replacing mine with a standard nut and spring washer!

Many thanks to bugsy for the tips & advice - dropping the column really helps with that tricky nut between the instruments and heater controls!
