991.1 battery swap?

Probably been done before...
Does a new (original) battery HAVE to be fitted to a 991.1 by a Porsche dealer?
I have been warned that the start/stop system requires a specific battery fitment and that then has to be "programmed" by the dealer to suit the charging system
I guess the other issue is that the extended warranty is affected if anything else is fitted...??
