TVR in Asian Engagement
Discussion
I've just been told that the video of my best mate's sister's engagement party has been completed and you might be interested to know that the Cerb played quite a prominent role. I was asked by her if I would take her to and from the engagement ceremony at Hotel Tall Trees in Yarm, of course I was too happy to oblige.
Apparently the look on some of the Asian elders as the Cerb popped, banged and rumbled up to the entrance is classic.
This also reminded me of the run up to the ceremony, the organisation at the hotel was running behind schedule so I was instructed to park up at the local train station a couple of minutes away. Picture it, a young white male driving a TVR Cerbera and in the passenger is a beautiful 21 year old asian bride dressed up in all the ceremonial gear - tiara, gold jewellery, lace gowns, the full monty. Behind her was another asian girl of 19-20 in the same gear. We had to wait in the car park for over half an hour and some of the looks we were getting were hilarious!
Anyway if anyone's interested I'll try and get a copy of the video on-line.

I am a Sikh myself and recently drove my sister in law to her wedding in my Tuscan,(before it's summer trip to B'pool
) and the car was accompanied into the car park at the Brittania hotel(d.lands) by six dhol players(DHOL: like a Dutch drum..bloody loud, but great) and a entourage of about 100. As you can imagine for a asian wedding the car park was full of the obligatory merc's and occasional Bentley,(easy on the st.typing
so the Tuscan was the centre of attention with around 100 or so people waiting for the bride.... not sure what happened but suddenly i was 18 again and decided to pull a huge doughnut. Had as many people asking me to do it again as i did asking me if i had lost my marbles! Maybe they had a point...but it was a big carpark and i really couldn't help it...
