Hi everyone,

Need to move up a size from my Clio 200, and would like a bit better comfort / amenities.

Have considered a larger warm hatchback but am wondering what estates are around that suit?

Car will be daily driven. Mostly short journeys but at least one good motorway stretch a week.

Don't mind petrol or diesel. Prefer manual but would be happy with a well-behaved auto.

Have been looking at Volvo V50 T5 or D5 but have recently been thinking of stretching the budget a little for a Mercedes C320CDI.

Any thoughts on which direction to take or other options?

Preferences are less than 8 to 60, reasonable mpg, and low chances of a big bill.

Cheers

I'd point you at the advert for my Scoobie Legacy GT, which ticks at least two out of three boxes: comfortably sub-7 sec 0-60 and not likely to throw massive bills so long as you leave it stock and keep up the regular servicing... but I'm not sure what you'd call "reasonable" mpg... mid-20s overall for most people, low 30s on a run.

It certainly fits your title though wink

Hi, nice motor but would mean a few too many compromises for me. Best of luck with the sale.

With that suspension, every other estate car is totally lacking. Need more power then they can be remapped with good results.
