It seems that the parents are to blame I would say !!A good clip or smack kept me in line this should be allowed, kids will be totaly out of control in a few more years you will see..............
We were Out having a nice pub meal when my brother in law said some kids are messing with your wheels :yikes: I ran out and :shout: What are you blooming doing or something like that :hehe:When dad followed me out And said they will nick your dust caps mate. Came out later and found all my dust caps missing found dad and said are they your Kids he said yes I said can I have my dust caps back KIDS we have not got them mister (Lieing little fekers)Dad says if they said they have not got them they havenot (Yea Right)Wouldent have minded but they were specials which came with the wheels.. What can you do Its not worth a argument. Once again chavs strike again.:furious::rage:

In this instance i would have fought fire with fire, waited to see which car was his then smash the shit out of it. Or his face, whichever was easier! 
You probably did the right thing though, would have only ended worse otherwise most probably, no doubt with you in court! Just be contented that they will probably never know happyness, pride, or a sense of achievement which you/I/we all strive for and regularly feel.

And if they don't, put small stones in them then superglue them back on his car
I remember once, years ago (probably 10 off years), when we went to the boat show I picked up a little tide leaflet that I thought was free. When we got home my Dad saw it, had a bit of a go at me and insisted that I write an appologetic letter to the company and return the tide tables.
At the time I thought that this was absolutely daft and a waste of time, I'd got away with it so what did it matter I thought. However looking back on it now I damn glad he made me write that letter, showed me the right line to tread and I respect him all the more for it.
If only everyone was brought up like that, I know in due course, when I have kids, they won't be let off lightly for this sort of thing.

Our 2 are only 15months old, but be assured if I catch them doing something similar in the future, they would not be getting away with it! But hopefully mine wouldn't have got that far...
They would have got punished for the initial messing with the car, which would include at least not being out of my sight for the rest of the outing, or more likely curtailment of the outing, with distinct possibility of missing next outing.

Where I used to live (surrounded by Chav Scum), the kids used to run up and down the side of my house antagonising my dog and making him get all excited and start barking.
On asking them to stop doing it, guess what, they carried on (little b
s), so I told them if they carried on, I'd let the dog out.
And that's just what I did. My dog is pathetic and wouldn't hurt a fly, but he did chase the kids down the street and gave them a real fright.
Later that evening, their ChavScum father knocked on my door and threatened my boyfriend with violence if I let my dog chase his kids again. I told him to keep his kids away from my house, and violence wouldn't be necessary.
Needless to say, the little wasters were doing the same thing again the next day!
I have a daughter who was the same age, and she would have been terrified to tell me that someone had set their dog on her, in case I found out WHY they'd done it and punished her.
