I removed the rear number plate on my Subaru Legacy today and found this.

Let's ignore the plastic grommets and just bang two self tappers through the aluminium boot lid. Tossers.
So, what's the best way to tackle this? It doesn't have to look particularly pretty as it's hidden behind the plate. Why people don't just stick them on I'll never know.

Ignore the ore made plate hold in the boot and fit the plates where ever they feel likee
