Grateful for any help from those who will have far more knowledge than me.

After a decade of Volvo D5s - 3 different cars and 200,000 miles (with only an intercooler ever needed apart from regular servicing - they have been virtually indestructible) the time has come for something different.
I looked at various used SUVs 2-3 y old - Tiguan, XC60, CR-V, F-pace, Discovery Sport etc - but stumbled upon a few Range Rover Sport
Shocked to see 2016 Euro 6 SDV6 cars at 30-35k
Totally different beast - I was impressed to say the least (we don't need 7 seats)

Well aware I'm buying something more expensive and older than I would get with the others and with some slightly questionable build quality. However, when I put the RRS into 83444 I often get valuations 5k more than they are on offer for. CO2 is 185 and tax 260...

Am I missing something?
Are diesels, even euro 6, such a risk for future road tax nobody wants them?
Am aware insurance/servicing will be higher (and likely extended warranty as I'm not sure I've got the guts for owning a RRS out of warranty)
Otherwise I may have to scratch the itch...

BTW Tried an XC90 - was disappointed (recognised I'm probably the only person to find this)

Thanks in advance
