Hello all!

I have a 2010 630i E63 N53 and I have noticed that there seems to be some fluid pooling in the engine pay and a trail following on the ground.
I should state that all 6 injectors were replaced by BMW earlier this year and the car has just come back from BMW having had the oil sump gasket replaced as there was an oil leak on the car.

However, is this fluid something that should be worrying me? I don’t run the AC so it’s not that. Coolant level is OK. Car runs and drives fine and no smoke from the exhaust. Some pics below.

Cheers.

Looks like its pooling under the header tank - maybe give it a sniff - coolant will smell sweet.

Sump gasket just being replaced is suspicious. Might be wrong but I'd imagine they need to remove the coolant pump or at least move some of that pipework around. Might have disturbed something.

As said, sniff the drips or even dab a little on your tongue. It's what I do anyway. Coolant smells sweet but tastes yukky.

Oh and btw you really should use your AC unless it's actually broken. Seals and lube etc.
