Best place to find a rear diff
Discussion
Long story short i'm pretty pissed off
My diff has been away for its 3.08 gear set to be fitted for well over a month now (after being originally told max 2 weeks). I have just been on the phone to them again as I had Wednesday and Thursday booked off work to collect it and rebuild the car, only to be told by the owner that the person I had been dealing with has left and was lying to me about the progress on it, and its going to still be at least another 2 weeks!
The car is still stuck on the drive on axle stands deteriorating, I have managed to do only a few hundred miles this summer and I am leaving the country for 5 months in October so it looks like this year is going to end up being a total write off for the TVR.
I normally have a lot of patience but I hate having my time and money wasted by other people who can't stick to their word. I do everything on the car myself except things like this which need to be taken to 'specialists' and time after time am let down.
I still have no faith in them getting it done in the next 2 weeks, so i am debating buying another diff that I can put in the car now so at least I can use it before I have to leave, and fit my original rebuilt diff once I get back in the country around April.
Does anyone know of any Chimaera BTR diffs available that aren't going to break the bank?
Sorry for the rant

Central for a quick instant new replacement ( if they still have any) which should last years
Or a call to Tvr dealer/ garages for a working second hand one as a stop gap.
Should be fairly easy to sell which ever one becomes spare.
I can vouch for a new one as mine is fantastic for tightening everything up.

I wonder who the specialist is?
I had mine done by John Reid at Readman racing. Top bloke and always a good job at a fair price.
I broke mine as it was the smaller diameter crown but I intend to buy another 3.08 from Aus and have him fit it over this coming winter.
Missing the cruising and long legs for 180 mph
