Hi everybody

Been to see the above car and from what I can see it seems to tick all the boxes but if any of you can help with more details id appreciate it.

Looking for any info on the black MP412C at Junction 17 cars.

Reg is KX12UBJ or was on private 111DCS

Anybody know this car and any info good or bad please share.

Thanks

Have looked at a couple of cars with them before and wasn't in a rush to pull the trigger - dodgy service book on one (tippexed out all over the shop) was more than I could overlook and the service wasn't exactly too welcoming. Seem to get some nice stuff in though.

Don't know the car personally but nice spec and pretty keenly priced with the right options. If it's an early VIN (first 1000 or so) it'll be the pre-cog gearbox which is a half-pull on the paddle to prep the next gear and a second pull to engage the next gear. That will go down as more collectible in years to come in my view, but also comes with the swipey doors which are prone to go wrong!

Don't think you'd go too far wrong at the money with the service history - what's it worth at trade in in 3 years time? 50k? Much worse ways to have fun!

The car has 6 stamps with McLaren with the last service being only 400 miles ago, been through the book carefully and phoned the dealer who confirmed it all and said all updates had been done.

We did struggle a bit the doors and asked them to make sure they work as they should.

I believe its on a SOR for a customer and thy seemed pleasant enough to deal with.

Car will obviously need a proper detail as dealer prep I have found is never up to scratch.

Swipe door car? There’s a knack, once you’ve got the hang of it they open every time. Also you can unlatch the door (driver and passenger separately) from the remote key fob. However best fun telling someone it’s unlocked just open the door!
Looks a great spec and priced to sell but for piece of mind arrange for an inspection at Thorney Motorsport nr. Silverstone. Not too far away.
