Wasp Spider

I love a good spider thread, however just came face to face with a wasp spider today in South Hertfordshire watering some hawthorn hedgelings.

Feck me I knew after living 5 decades in this county no animal like that is native here.

Imported species travelling north, took a couple of photos on the phone but they are blurred. Google wasp spider they are in your house and this one was 2 inches long, sleep tight

Sounds like we could all do with some of them if they help with the watering. Was it using the hose or a watering can?
