"Triumph are working on a refreshed Tiger 800 that looks poised to take the fight to its middleweight rivals"

https://www.motorcyclenews.com/news/new-bikes/triu...

Looks interesting, not long since the currently refreshed model though so wonder on likely timing...

saw that this morning, first reaction was that it looked like an africa twin to me

aside from that, i could be tempted in 12-18 months time, esp if they have put it on a bit of a diet and lower the seat height a fraction

Sounds like they've really gone to town on it as well - 887cc (probably), new frame front and rear, different suspension. Clearly upping their game after the 800GS

Does it need more power?

mines plenty quick enough already, not sure it even needs more low end, its pretty flexible as it is.

The engine is old and needs a major rework to meet Euro 5 next year. Most manufacturers are having to up capacity to make it easier to comply without losing power and keeping a good delivery profile. Should be a nice bike.
