Pouring my morning glass of water in the office a queue of angry colleagues next to me frustrated that the coffee machine wasn’t working. “How will I function today?” Came the angry cries.

I don’t drink tea or coffee and don’t drink red bull or the likes of other energy drinks so I guess I can just function. Do you become reliant on it?

Not reliant, but I do like a decent cup of coffee in the morning.

yes Rarely have one later in the day, and don't like tea generally but have an occasional Earl Grey (if that counts). And very rarely a can of coke (Which is revolting every time. hehe ) as a pep up on a long journey.

I like it but wouldn't say I'm reliant. Usually a few cups of tea in the morning then a coffee or two later on. Mostly water or squash after lunch.

I drink a lot of caffeine - probably four or five coffees a day, plus one or two 500ml bottles of diet coke.

It is fashionable these days to be a "coffee addict". Pretty lame when you see people noting that on their social media profiles along with a bunch of other spurious, self-styled bullst.

Coffee addict
News junkie
Vegan
Traveller
Yogi

For the record I drink both tea and coffee, and I love the occasional ice cold Coca Cola. Red Bull is a real loser's drink and it pains me when I see people drinking it in the morning. They normally look really tired and ill.

Would I piss and moan like your colleagues if the coffee machine was broken? No.

Usually drink 2 to 3 cups of coffee a day and occasional energy drink.

Along with 5-6 glasses of water/juice

Don't really mind if I don't get chance to have a coffee, its not the end of the world

When working I usually drink an energy drink in the morning and maybe a cup of tea around midday.

Don't touch the stuff on the weekend though.

Don't touch coffee either, it tastes like arse and gives me a pounding headache.

I absolutely love coffee. Bought a decent bean to cup machine for home and use it every morning for a cup before work.

I then have another two coffees in the morning at work before 11am but then only drink water and maybe a cup of tea in the afternoon.

Tea at work, probably 2-4 cups. (Although each cup is 1 litre, as it saves going to the kitchen all the time.) I often have a can of diet Coke or similar with my lunch.

Less when I'm at home. Decaff tea in the evening, so I don't disturb my sleep.

I've been doing quite a few night drives to my Dad's house the last couple of years, which is 3:30 - 4:15 away depending on traffic and road closures. I leave when the kids have gone to sleep, so the drive is much easier. I'll chug an Aldi-Red-Bull before I go, and it works. It's normally worn off about half an hour after I arrive.

When I'm on holiday, I tend to de-caffeinate. The second day without is usually the worst, with a bit of a muzzy head, but by the third day I don't notice it. Can't say whether going without makes me sleep any better or function differently, but it does mean that when I get back to work the tea seems to work better for a couple of days.

I don't "need" it to function, but usually start most days with a brew, then when I get into work there's a guy who makes about 15 rounds a day - have to say no by around 1pm as otherwise I'd have 10-15 cups of tea a day.

I'd tut if the machine wasn't working but then get on with my day.
I like coffee, probably 2-3 cups a day.
I have cut down a bit as I noticed when I didn't have coffee for a few days I'd get a mild headache. Drink more water, less coffee and don't get teh withdrawal.

Around five cups of tea and two cups of coffee, my work have a couple of Franke coffee machines and decent beans and so I've started to like cappuccinos which are quite unhealthy.
I don't drink shop bought coffee (starbucks, pret etc..) after seeing how many calories they have.

One thing I never realised was just how dangerous caffeine can be, each week dozens of healthy people die from accidental overdoses yet it only makes news in local papers, if it were an illegal drug it would be headline news.

My first drink is normally coffee but if I ran out, I'd drink cold water or green tea. It's not really an issue. I know green tea has caffeine in it but it is the coffee taste that I like.

While I love my morning cuppa, it's not the end of the world if I don't have it. I'm not a big coffee drinker unless I'm hungover but I love drinking Pepsi Max during the day at work which gives me a boost.

8-12 espresso shots watered down as 4-6 Americanos in the morning, around 3 litres of water afternoon and evening
