Renault Megane GT 220 - Good deal?

Looking at selling my petrol 1.6 2011 Megane hatchback and getting one of the last of the older shape GT’s. I’ve had the 1.6 for 3 years,its a nice car with no problems, I’m just really tired of the gutless 1.6 engine. I did consider one of the new ones, but there is nothing that sits between the 1.4 and the full fat RS, which I don’t really need. I just want a bit more pull when I do go long distance or want to overtake on the back roads.

Still want to stick to petrol due to miles and emissions, so started looking at some of the 2.0 GT’s advertised. Been offered a 5 door privately and also considering ones like this..

I haven’t driven one yet but does anyone have any experience of them as there don’t seem to be many around? Are they a good buy - seems to be as lots of extras on them. Also I understand it will be firmer than my 1,.6 with the bigger wheels. But the performance and engine seem like a good balance and better than getting a Golf GTI. Thanks, any advice appreciated.

They're actually a good warm hatch the suspension isn't RS levels but they're a decent steer & as you say loaded with kit the engine is a detuned RS unit all in all a good buy.

Astra GTC Limited Edition 200 although these have 200bhp their long gearing blunts the performance a bit.
