FTP Explorer is the one i use for files. I use Dreamweavers' builtin FTP for the main site pages.

Plain ol' Windows Explorer. You can connect to your ftp site and just drag and drop within Windows Explorer.

syntax you type in the "address" bar is somein like

ftp://[yourftpserveraddress]

Doesnt like Symbolic Links very much, and not useful for PASV mode either

I use WS_FTP PRO at home, but when "out and about" I use FlashFXP as it can run off my flash keyfob without needing to be installed, making it ideal for plugging into any USB port on any handy machine at a client site (provided they haven't blocked FTP, of course)

(Edit: And before any pedants dive in, I mean any handy machine running a modern Windows OS such as 2K or XP. I know NT doesn't support USB. )

Agreed, and you can get FileZilla Server too so people can FTP into your machine should you need it. This has proved useful for getting large digital photos to my girlfriend.

That's not as dodgy as it sounds honestly!

'Beyond Compare' from www.scootersoftware.com is a file/directory diff-ing tool that allows one end to be an ftp server. V. useful for uploading just the bits of a web-page that have changed, and useful for purposes other than your current need.
