Some people have a stupid array of things obstructing vision, I have seen some cars with an array of flowers, ornaments, stickers you name it on the windscreen/dashboard - it’s not a friggin office cubicle
I only have this (which is the expression diesel owners have when overtaken
)

Why do you not want the auto dimming feature to work ?.
Because often it massively reduces your ability to see what the car you behind is. This might be annoying when you engage warp speed not knowing that the car behind you is a police car. I always disable auto dimming. Edited by TSS on Wednesday 14th August 22:39

I'm very happy with my auto dim despite hardly ever using it as a manual feature on previous cars. I don't really care what the vehicle behind is, just whether it's being driven by a moron or not. ]
And yes it was a police car once, we were close to the local cop shop in the late evening, probably end of shift as he ignored my 35 in a 30.
