So my lease on my Cupra runs out in a few months and I am looking for something fun.

I do around 8-10k miles a year and my daily commute is 5 miles, I love the power of the Cupra and want something similar.

My only requirement is either 4 doors or useable back seats for my young kids, this wouldn't be the main household car so up for something different.
I would prefer DSG as I've had manuals all my life and would prefer a change

So far Ive thought about
Mk5 Golf GTi
Subaru Impreza

I don't mind the age too much really as long as it has had servicing and been looked after.

Any suggestions?

Love the S5 option that's definitely something different, not keen on an older Leon or skoda

Integra DC5.

two door but plenty of room in the back seats for kids, cavernous boot too, so they are surprisingly practical.

Great performance but with everyday car running costs and service requirements... one of the best FWD driver's cars straight out of the box. Plenty of nice examples around for £8k-ish.

Audi B5 S4, saloon or estate depending on your fancy. There is some very well looked after ones I know of running about 450hp in or around your budget and because its only a 2.7 when your off boost you can get mid to high 30's to the gallon on a run.

E350 Sport not as much fun as the C Class but a good car.

Leftfield:

Infiniti M37 they're not slow & good handling I'd the steering lacks feel compared to a 5 Series M Sport but you can still enjoy them & that's before you look at the spec.

Wow some really interesting options there, I really cant think what I want. I have to decide by October, I always loved hot hatches but just want something a bit silly as my commute is so slow
