Covering Letter

It's been a while since I've had to write one of these but current job I am applying for is asking for one so thought best to ask if much has changed for the requirements of a cover letter?

Previously it has been an extension of CV with a little more detail on skills and why you think you're the right person for the job. Sticking to letter formatting and single page with around 3-4 paragraphs?

Yup, pretty much. Many will say they are redundant nowadays but as long as you’re not simply regurgitating your CV I think it’s worth it.
