I know they obviously monitor the average speed of vehicles but do/can they check anything else ?

If something trips it it must be linked to DVLA to get owners address, but does it check MOT/Insurance/Tax as well ?

Be an easy way to find offending vehicles - no ?

I don’t know if they are dual purpose but ANPR cameras are everywhere so the ability to do what you suggest is already well established.
