Ive been looking at a few 2000/2001 Tuscans and on most of them the rear removable window is too small, in some cases I can actually stick a finger betwen the window and the rubber seal and the cars have let in water. I have been informed that there was a running change on the later models to a bigger rear screen.
My question is how much is a new screen and if I buy a car with the old one will I be able to upgrade to the bigger rear screen.

The larger rear screen will fit OK as for price I don't know if RCA can still obtain these otherwise I think they are about £130 from a dealer.

I got a new bigger screen 2 years ago from RCA (don't know where he has gone now but seems to have disappeared from PHs).

Observations:
New screen is ALOT tighter to get in. It has to be placed in exactly the right position otherwise it is impossible to get the clips done up. The positioning has to be so exact that I have etched 2 little marks onto the screen to line it up for the clips. The other observation was that although the new screen apparently fitted the 'frame', at one point its shape made it stand proud of the rubber. The gap was too small to put fingers under, and probably would not have let rain in unless it was blowing - but it made alot of wind noise when driving with it.

The factory remedied this for me at a service by using a heat gun to gently warm up the screen and flex it so that it now fits perfectly. I have to say though, the old screen is much easier to get in and out, and much faster. I am therefore co-habiting with 2 screens now depending on what I am doing and what time of year it is. But, being as fastidious as I am about my car, I don't think it actually knows what rain is - only sunshine.

Having been driving behind a Tuscan at over 100mph when the rear screen jetisonned I would recommend that you upgrade to the better fitting one.

Very interesting experience!
