Hi everyone, I will be moving from Germany to central London shortly and am thinking about taking my bike to use on weekends to explore London and surroundings.

After some time searching on Google and within BB, it seems that some parking providers (e.g. Q-Park) let you park your bike for free in their secure car parks. My question is: Can I leave my bike there for several days at a time or would it get towed if it stays longer term?

Any input is much appreciated, thanks!

Should be fine, not really monitored too excessively.

Make sure you’ve got a decent lock for it if it’s anything remotely nice, bike theft is very high in London at the moment unfortunately.

Also consider insurance, it can be very high in London and many insurers won’t insure certain bikes.

Insurance can be a massive issue for bikers in London.

also depending on year of the bike, you will need to take into account the cost of the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) operating at 24x7x365 at £12.50 a day in Central London (Zone 1)

For central London, I recommend using the boris bike.

12.50 a day is only if your bike is older than 2007 or Euro3 emissions.
you can leave bike for a few days in the secure parking no problems at all.
