I have not paid close attention to this, but the GT12 cars on the Pre-owned list look familiar from previous viewings.
There are six cars 3 or 4 years old, with between 100 and 2,800 miles.
As they are listed on the Pre-owned, might that mean they are owned by the main dealer and not 'sale or return' cars?

Just wondered what dealers do, when they hold used stock for a long time.

Can remember an instance of a dealer, who had three brand new V8 Vantage AMRs on sale for about 2 years. Suddenly all three disappeared from sale at once. Intriguing.

Unit stocking is down to the dealer group but most prestige brands just write down the value and reduce a car until it sells or if it’s a little older put it to auction.

More mainstream brands are 60-90 days.

I am not sure that selling them as pre-owned should lead to any conclusion as to the current owner. Whether owned my the dealer or on SOR both would be pre-owned when sold.

My guess, given the cars you mention, they would be SOR which leads to the price sticking as it all depends what the owner wants to return from the car rather than the dealer making the decision.

Strange market. Has anyone noticed that 4 of the 8 Spitfire editions are for sale at the moment. That is a high proportion and surprising given how special the cars are. Two with the same edition number (K5054) but big difference in mileage. Thought quite a few of them would have been keepers.

On that note, AM Cambridge are advertising one of the 24 DBSS 59s for sale. Bearing in mind they were only delivered a few weeks ago, I find that quite surprising, as I didn’t expect to see one of these available so soon.

.........

I only wondered about that Ian, because an aspect which was commented upon here recently, concerned main dealers having more used cars listed their own website, than on the AM Pre-owned list. Presumably therefore, some categories are not wanted/allowed on the Pre-owned listing.

I obviously don't know, but just wondered if it might apply to SORs.

I think it’s being advertised above list isn’t it?
