Roth OLi RA1 Speaker
Discussion
I just picked up a set of Roth RA1 speakers to replace my KEF Egg's as my rear channel of my 5.1 system
They are really small and measure in at 23/15/15cm and cost only £99 in white .They feel pretty solid I like the
Rounded edges on top and bottom, there rear ported and have a single set of binding posts on the back
They even come with a set of simple wall mounts in the box which was a bonus as I wanted to fix them to the wall anyway

They have a 4'' main driver and a 1'' tweeter being so small I wasn't expecting to much just wanted to improve on my old KEFs
And wow they did

I just placed them on top of my ATCs to try them out with some music and was impressed with the scale of sound they had
I've found in the past that small speaker always sounded like small speaker ie a lot of coming from a very small source but
These have real depth to them and this was before being ran in

Its almost a shame to run them only as the rear channel but that's the way it is
I fitted the wall brackets and hung the speakers you can not tilt them only place them flat against the wall

I decided not to fit the grills which are fixed on by the use of magnets which is a nice touch I thought , so after performing a sound
Setup I tested them out with an old Blu-ray Sucker Punch
Straight away I could hear more weight from the rears and a wider sound stage which is what I was after all along
So for the price these are pretty hard to beat great sound fast & punchy matched with good looks what's not to like
