Car wash claims a victim

Oh dear.

I'm sure they have messages stating do not use if the vehicle has spoilers etc.
Oh yes, it isn't a Range Rover either.

Never had an issue with spoilers on cars (Focus ST Mk2).

Modified as in the spoiler that came off isn't a Land Rover part ? If it was an aftermarket part then they would say not to use the car wash.
They have sensors in the machinery, that's obviously how it copes with all the different size and shape of cars so would this not be a machine sensor fault?
Just take it to one of the many that have popped up. I used one a few weeks ago, had 4 people washing the car & took 5 mins to do.

The spoiler is part of the car as standard, and it isn't as if it is a Cosworth-esque whale tail or a Fast & Furious Halfolds bolt on affair either. Doesn't bode well for the quality of LR bolts if that has been what caused them to shear off.
But then equally - is the last line a bit of a cop out from the car wash owner? "We didn't find any faults, therefore, it isn't our fault"?
I'm guessing the "modifications" he's had done are to aid him with driving the vehcile with only 1 leg and 1 prosthetic leg

Why does the fact he's disabled mean he has to have a 10 month old range rover???????
I guess it was the only point they could get the "poor disabled man suffers terribly at the hands of a car wash" in.
eta: looking at it again I guess it could be a car with hand controls or something hence the "modified" thing.

Why shouldn't a disabled person have a Range Rover (or even a Land Rover)? Why does the fact he's disabled mean he has to have a 10 month old range rover???????

Newspaper reporter cobbled it together and invented a quote from the info they gathered.
Trevor is disabled because of morbid obesity. Thus his leg has been removed. Thus he gets a free car from the motability.
Trevor now has to pay for all the damage to it.
Trevor is not happy.
I could be terribly wrong and he lost his leg falling on a land man, to save a child in Syria. But I suspect not. I suspect it's solely pie, cake and fag related.

I thought cars that were "modified" for disabled persons had things like hand-operated brake and throttle controls! How in the name of frig do aftermarket spoiler modifications help a disabled person? In may day you got a baby blue AC Inva- AKA cripple - car and were grateful.

I doubt the spoiler was modified...The Disco Sport has quite a big spoiler as standard... I suspect the roller came up the back window and just whipped it clean off.
