Hey Folks, at last it seems we're going to be dropping the the body back on my chassis, problem being though is that neither of us were the ones to take it off!
I'm wondering if anybody the mounting points as a diagram? I'm certain I had one saved a long time ago, but as luck would have it, I can't find it now! loser

Any help would be much appreciated bow

This might help, page 35 has a schematic layout................ clicky

Failing that, if you find a hole, put a bolt in it wink

On my Griff, there were:-

7 through the floor on each side.
1 on each side at the top front of the transmission tunnel
1 on each side right at the front, under the radiator
1 on each side in the vertical plate on the forward outboard edge of the rear wheel arch.
2 behind the fuel tank. (1 each side, funnily enough).

I think that was it. I am sure if I have missed any, or if a Chim is different, someone will be along in a minute to correct me.

I found this diagram courtesy of Brookbanks. net very useful when I did my 2" lift. It's for a Griff but the bolts are the same.

The ones you will have the most problem with are the two bolts through the top of the tunnel. They are right up under the bottom of the dash and normally have to be accessed by cutting a slit in the carpet to post a spanner through.
Check the body before fitting and see if the bolts are hanging down through their holes. if they are then all is good. Do not replace these bolts with new ones unless you have the lower section of the dash removed and can clearly see what you are doing. Both of these bolts have earth terminals on them (2 or 3 each) so if you try and replace the bolts you could fail to attach an earth which will cause you a world of pain.
