A mate is moving away and we want to get him 3 leaving presents but he's a cheapskate so they need to reflect this. Best I have found is a JD Wetherspoon voucher although the min amount on it is £5.

Any ideas?

I’m not sure if Poundland do gift vouchers, but they do mugs and greetings cards..

Bulk buy 48 very cheap toilet rolls? The cheapskate won’t want to waste them but they’ll be a pain in the ass to get through!

Vistaprint (and others) do custom mug printing. You could put a photo of you all with two fingers up or more graphical, "eff off c88t" or something more original.

Why does it raise a titter?
as it is slightly amusing, but not the funniest mug in existence?

I don't think I could really explain it, I guess that its just something where our sense of humour doesn't overlap

Given what's printed on it, the fact that you can get three for two quid is mildly amusing.

Agree. A jar of Vaseline from Poundland. With one modification. Buy something (anything) with a 'markdown' sticker - 'say 50% off' - from a shop (any shop) and transfer it to the jar of (Poundland) Vaseline.

Your 'gift' will therefore say to the recipient
1) No doubt you will make use of this because you are a tightarse......
2) Because you are a tightarse I was only willing to pay a single solitary pound for your present......
3) And because I think so little of you I actually went to the effort and didn't even pay full price for your present

If I may raise slightly...

A jar of vaseline from Poundland, but with a price sticker from a charity shop.

P.S. And using your fingers take a good 'scoop' out of the contents before passing on the gift.....
