So is anyone taking advantage of the new reasonably priced lease deals on these or are people generally put off by the lack of rear wheel drive?
I’m not in the market but just wondering how big a deal it is for those on PH.

Are there any good lease deals on them? Prices seem to be way in excess of the M140i both for cash purchases and PCP / lease deals.

Maybe they have improved now. Not overly struck on the looks but would be an option for someone otherwise in the market for a Golf R / AMG A35

This is the cheapest deal, but it’s not very good really https://leasing.com/independent-brokers/carleasesp...

Sorry, the essence of my question was whether people who would traditionally buy the previous version wouldn’t now because it’s not rwd

There would be a strong consensus on the M140i groups i am on that no, people wouldnt be moving to a new M135i. The deals are naff in comparison, the car is viewed as a step back in terms of performance and people think its ugly. It is viewed as just another 2.0 litre AWD eurobox.

Whether that view changes over time, who knows.

I think BMW will attract new customers to the M135i but also lose some previous M140i customers.
