Hi,

I think it's the pressure regulator for the fuel, but I'm not sure as I'm not sure if the fuel mixes with air so early on in the pipework or not. It's a Chevrolet Aveo 1.2L 84 HP 2010, I am struggling to find information online for this car.

Also: In there a difference between a 'fuel pump pressure regulator' and a 'fuel pressure regulator'?

I've seen some parts have a line for a vacuum hose port and no electronic terminals and some have no vacuum hose port with an electronic terminal connection point. I could be way off and it could be a mass air flow sensor? I am pretty sure it has a solenoid/actuator inside it though.

I would really appreciate any help in specifically identifying it and the follow up question, thanks

Looks like a sensor of some sort, is it on the air filter hose or close by? I can't quite see from the picture.

There is not a huge amount to go on, but given it appears to have a plastic/rubber hose to one side, a hydro formed pipe entering the other side, suggesting egr, and what I think is a spring just appearing in the bottom of the shot. I reckon that is the throttle valve.

So the jubilee clip you can see is for the intake after the air filter. I hope this extra image helps. I'm almost certain there is a solenoid/actuator inside because I can hear and feel it moving when the car is trying to start and when the key is taken out after attempting to start.

(Sorry I can't get the image to format in the correct orientation)

Im going to suggest that the overall piece is indeed the throttle and the electric sensor the throttle position sensor.....

Needed to know and just took it apart - looks like you were right buddy..

Thanks for the help everyone!

PS - the inner o-ring perished, which would be the problem here

Ding! They all look pretty much like that one and sit on the throttle body.
