Most comfort/Waft family car for £10K with 'Sport' dynamics
Discussion
I am an avid BMW nut. Currently our stable consists of only BMW. M140i and an M3.
M3 is going
However, I think its time to go for supreme comfort over low hanging tiresome cars. I'm all for low suspension provided the dampening is spot on.
Is there anything out there which bridges the idea of comfort, handling and decent speed?
Smax? Don't shoot me!

I'd recommend anything in estate mode with a v8.
Here's my e61 550i sport auto. These are super super rare - I've only ever seen one other. Mine is a 55 reg so cheaper tax and therefore even more rare. You can pick these up for 4 grand if you include the earlier 545i version - obviously 550i owners laugh at these inadequate humans. The most you can pay for one is 10 grand I'd guess. Mine has the 370bhp 4.8 litre engine which has enough power to entertain. It handles ok for a big boat and feels pretty solid. You can almost hear a bit of v8 growl but it's sensible quiet. The car does twist when you blip the throttle. Servicing is cheap enough and there is no m tax and no tricky m bits to worry about. This was a very popular engine in America and other places with cheap fuel and is quite robust. I started a thread for these cars which was popular until recently where it has gone a bit quiet. I think the world is worried about mpg nowadays. The boot is massive as well. Easily bigger than an x5 boot. It will take 3 mountain bikes without folding down the seats - not tried more. I even squeezed a big American fridge in there. I've slept in there a few times too.
