The expression "Chewing gum for the eyes" now proved wrong

The old adage that television was chewing gum for the eyes is now superceded with youtube into the following expression.
"Youtube is both your brain being sucked out via two skull sockets and eyelids whilst on the other hand eye opening and inspirational, a world you could not have looked into just a few years before"
OK it's not quite as snappy I admit.
Anyhow, got better things to do than spend a lovely day with the sun shining, talking to you lot of Geralds. Got some youtube to watch whilst in the garden !

Hold on £32 for the licence fee? Those were probably the days when old folk knew how to put on an extra jumper in winter so could afford it during the summer months. They've gone soft in the meantime.
