Hi,

Can someone please tell me where I can obtain an overhaul kit for my 98 500 brake calipers, front and rear? TIA

Thanks, I looked at their website but they don't list overhaul kits. In fact, they have nothing available for the Griff 500 at the moment. Worth a call maybe?

I got everything I needed for my chim 450 (same calipers).
Have you put your reg in? If you're buying disks check if you've got spacers of not with the caliper? This will determine the disk of set required.

Anyone else have input on this? I've contacted the recommended company above who have nothing, surely there is someone supplying a rebuild kit for Griff calipers (although they hide themselves well on t'internet if they do exist). It seems at the moment that the only option is to buy new/recon calipers on an exchange basis, surely that can't be right?

260mm discs?

I believe same calipers were used on the Ford Sierra XR4i , but double check, don't take my word for it wink

Try Ebay search ... Budweg BCK6003.

Or try Brakes International

Hmm....I think that's them not knowing our cars. Try put your reg number in and look at the options it's give you (same as my 450). You're simply looking for the bigger caliper and disk options. Have a look at whatbyoure got if you're not sure and simply compare.....that's all I did.
You may find your caliper have spacers washers on the bolts, this effects the disk offset. Not the end of the world if you get it wrong as it simply means to use the washers or not.

Typically with these cars you have to ask for the ford part that TVR used.

Damian S3

(ST150 callipers and 2WD Cosworth 283mm discs - non standard) like Mike said you likely have XR callipers and 260mm discs smile
